Could this finally be the reason to get a WiiU?

Nintendo this morning announced the last few details about Mario Kart 8 before releasing it on the 30th of May in Europe and the US. Along with showing off some cool new weapons such as the Crazy Eight, where your kart is surrounded with 1 of each of the basic items in the game; they explain more about gameplay mechanics such as bumping into other vehicles in anti-grav mode gives you a boost. But there’s something a little cooler than that!

Not only will there be a Mario Kart 8 Console bundle, but Nintendo is making an offer where if you said console bundle for £240. You can download a free game from a list.

In Europe you can download one free game from…

  • Nintendo Land
  • New Super Mario Bros. U
  • Game & Wario
  • Pikmin 3
  • The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
  • Sonic Lost World
  • Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games
  • Wii Party U
  • The Wonderful 101
  • Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

I want to get The Wonderful 101!

In the US you can download one free game from…

  • New Super Mario Bros. U
  • Pikmin 3
  • The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
  • Wii Party U

Yes, in the US there isn’t going to be much choice in what WiiU game you’ll get free. But at least you guys will receive a Mario themed Wii Remote and a red coloured Wii Wheel.

We can get a similar bundle, and it goes the whole hog including either a Mario or Luigi hat if you purchase the pack from Official Nintendo Online Store for £300!

Nice… But not for £300…

So… could this be the excuse I’m looking for to get a WiiU? Might be… Thing is, this has some big timing as I’m hoping to go on vacation State-side in early June, and it’s going to be expensive! I don’t really earn the kind of dough to fly to the States and get the £240 WiiU bundle! Fortunatly, the offer will go on until the 31st of July. So it might be something I get after I come back from the States: If I have the money for it that is!

However, this is a very tempting offer, not only do you get a great looking game, but you get a free downloadable game with it too! It’s certainly not bad at all! Beats purchasing it at £300 with Nintendo Land on XMas 2012!
