Nintendo Life purchased Super Mario Galaxy 2 to explain what downloadable Wii games are like on the WiiU and made a video on it.
Here’s a list of what to expect.
- Wii games downloaded from the WiiU eShop are not upscaled and do not provide additional in-game extras. The game is exactly like what the disc version looks like played on a WiiU.
- Downloaded Wii games come with a digital manual that is a scan of the original manual of the game.
- The game is almost the same size in megabytes/gigabytes as they were on the Wii disc.
- Super Mario Galaxy 2 doesn’t work with the GamePad as the original game didn’t have classic controller support.
- Downloaded Wii games can look for previous save game files and load them up.
- As mentioned before, the introductory discount only lasts up to a week from the game’s release.
So what do you think? Sounds a little no-thrills to me. However I’m still tempted in getting Metroid Prime Trilogy for £8.99! Write down what you think in the comments below!
