After announcing the game on Tuesday, Rockstar revealed the Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer. It looks to be a very pretty game, but it barely shows any of the characters, or what kind of plot it might have. Though in honesty that might be a good thing because we have to wait a year before this game comes out. As expected the game is coming out on the PS4 and XBox One; there doesn’t seem to be a PC release. However, Rockstar did announce that there will be a way to play Red Dead Redemption (1) on the PC through Sony’s PlayStation Now streaming service. Personally I just wish there was a means to get it properly on the PC through Steam, but at least that’s another game on PlayStation Now that makes the service worth it.
After a few teasers that Rockstar put out on Facebook and Twitter, fans got excited for a possible new Red Dead game, and it turned out to be true! Rockstar announced Red Dead Redemption 2 today, with a trailer coming out this Thursday.
What’s been said is that the game isn’t a sequel, but a prequel (Why call it Redemption 2 then?) The game will come out on the PS4 and XBox One in 2017, however a few gaming news sites such as IGN have speculated that there might be a chance to play this game on the PC and base their opinion based on the fact that Grand Theft Auto 5 eventually made it onto the PC a year after it’s console launch. Still doesn’t mean anything due to the fact that Redemption still hasn’t got a PC port yet! Rockstar also mentioned that Redemption 2 will come with an online mode named, Red Dead Online. OK, I’ve had my bit of fun watching all the E3 conferences and shows. It’s not time to get to work and talk about the good and bad things about this year’s show.
Microsoft’s show was better this year compared to last year, it was fortunate that it wasn’t all to do with Sports and TV! Typically Microsoft and the XBox being the “First Person Shooter” console, they had to show off the next Call of Duty game, Advanced Warfare, pretty much like Modern Warfare, but now more sci-fi with more drones and flashy lights on body armour. As you might tell I don’t give a damn about the COD series, and personally I wish that Activision would concentrate on something else for a change!
After seeing Forza Horizon 2 and Witcher 3, I saw a game that I kinda knew about through from fake marketing of an energy drink called Overdrive. The game is called “Sunset Overdrive”, and the video starts off being a joke to other FPS games having to take cover behind things and having a character, who’s a bit doucheir than your typical douche-bag, destroy the enemy that trying to attack said “Call of Duty”-like soldier before doucey-Mc-DouceMeister explains his game, and looking at the gameplay it looks really cool. Imagine a third person contra game, but being able to do Sonic the Hedgehog like tricks such as grind rails and run up walls, then mix it up with Left 4 Dead style Co-op where you take out mutants who are simply people who have been drinking the Overdrive energy drink. It’s nice to see some colour in an XBox game! It’s just a shame that this is an XBox One exclusive title. Continue reading →
Now for the not quite tech savvy people out there, “What is DLNA?” Well DLNA is a network protocol that allows machines such as PCs, Roku boxes, PS3s and XBox 360s to look for media on other machines. Continue reading →
So, it’s that time where we’re meant to get all excited about the new gaming hardware that’s coming out. OK, Nintendo did this a year in advance, but I’m including the Wii U as a whole for this particulararticle.
What gets me is that with this new generation coming, I should be excited, but I’m not, “Why?” you ask. It’s simple, looking at the games coming out, including the Wii U, it just doesn’t interest me in the slightest, and I know that in the next 2 to 3 years, PC tech would still be ahead of console gaming as a whole. So the “first” out of two Xbox announces were given out today at the Xbox Campus in Silicon valley. I didn’t actually get the chance to watch the video feed live as real life came into play, after all, going to the gym and maintaining my body is a little bit more important than watching a live feed of a console that I might not care about…
