Let’s Play The Silver Case: Part 3 “Fortune Telling Teeth!”

As I play the next chapter, I notice how this is based on the demo that was released a while ago, though ironically I would talk about it in the video and get most of the plot wrong! Silly me!

However, be the witness of fortune telling teeth!

Let’s Play The Silver Case: Part 2 “I can’t door!”

So yeah, I skipped out on a recording because I’m dumb! Not only did I forget that my audio levels, but I spent 10 minutes trying to work out how to open a damn door in this game! I’ll make you skip that madness and make another video where I make progress instead! Not to mention that I finish the prelude chapter. Not quite like demo that I played, but it’s pretty damn interesting! Is our killer spreading a “Murder Virus”?

Who Knows?

Great Bit Let’s Play: Let’s Play The Silver Case Part 1!

Being the Suda51 that I am, I’ve always had a curiosity about the first game that Grasshopper Manufacture made back in 1999 on the PlayStation. What’s awesome is that this game has never been localised before, and now it’s happened, so the Suda51 fan boy in me can jump in joy to finally play this visual novel in English!

DISCLAIMER:- Yes I suck with the audio levels in this video because I set the game audio to be twice as loud rather than the mic. I am sorry! Fortunately you can read what I’m reading on screen. so it’s not all that bad… kinda…

This is the final design of the Steam Controller (prices and date inc)

FinalSteamController

Today at GDC, Valve displayed an image of the final design of the Steam controller on a large poster. The so called, 8 way NeoGeo CD micro-switched joystick, is just an analogue joystick. The left track pad appears to have grooves on it to tell your thumb where north, south, east and west are. Apart from that, it remains pretty close to the previous design that sported a dpad rather than an analogue stick.

I’ll admit, I do prefer this design with a dpad. Even if it uses a PlayStation style dpad with a gap in the middle, it’s better than no dpad. Maybe the grooves on the final design make it really easy to find true up, down, left and right; but I thought the controller software allowed you to totally customise the track pads such as dead zones and positions. Hotline Miami 2 is coming out on the 10th of March!

HotlineMiami2OMG

You heard it! The sequel to the awesome Hotline Miami, the game I wrote my first review, and first blog article, on this blog is coming out! I’m very excited!

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong number takes place just after the events of the previous game, this time there are new masks such as the Swan that allows you to play two characters at the same time, one with a chainsaw, and one with an automatic machine gun, but you can’t change weapons. There’s a Zebra mask that allows you to do rolls that dodge bullets, and you can wear Biker’s old helmet and imitate him, cutting through enemies with a huge cleaver.

Are you excited about this game like I am!? Can’t wait to try out the new mask!? Time to meet the makers of the mask!? Tell me in the comments below

Vlog Number 5: Gauntlet, Smash Bros, and a new Microphone.

hellyeah

Hey there peeps, I haven’t vlogged in a while. Work has been insane for me recently as new university students coming in wanting a lot of stuff and multiplying sales like crazy. But this isn’t about my work, this is about games! I got Gauntlet, awesome game, I’m hoping to review it soon. I got Smash Bros for 3DS, great game, the 3DS controls might not be the best, but it’s awesome to have Smash on a portable. I got a new microphone, meaning you’ll hear my voice with much higher fidelity than before. So sit back and enjoy looking at my worn out face!

Have you been playing the new Smash Bros Game? Do you enjoy the new Gauntlet? Tell me about in the comments below!

GreatBitVlog 3: Mario Kart DLC and Lethal League

vlog3

Today, the 27th of August, is a pretty awesome day as Mario Kart 8 DLC has been announced. In November the first DLC pack will be released, which features Link as a playable character, FZero and Excite Bike themed tracks, and Captain Falcon’s Blue Falcon  as a usable vehicle. In May next year, the next DLC pack will feature the Animal Crossing Villager and Isabelle as playable characters.

Today, Reptile Games released a fighting game called Lethal League, a game I’ve been waiting for a while now. A flash demo has been on their site since last years’ EVO show. But now you can purchase the game and enjoy hitting your friends in the face with a high speed baseball!

Tales From The Scrypt: Byron Atkinson-Jones.

Hi folks, it’s Vipp here, you know me from the Retro Gaming Roundup forum, Stalking the retro podcast and for writing a few of my opinions for The GreatBitBlog. Recently I stumbled across the Blast Em! game on steam and fell in love with it, that led me to the game’s developer and the rest is history. Byron, the game’s developer, is extremely approachable and has time for a seemingly endlessly growing portion of Twitters users.

Byron's Vital Stats.

In this interview I managed to ask Byron a few questions including a closer look at the German game developer who recently stepped outside of the license agreement for the source code for Blast Em! (Currently on Steam as a DLC for anyone interested in looking at game code to learn more about game development). I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did writing it.

Martin Schultz (@DecaneGames) (deane.net) recently posted on his twitter feed:
