About time Nintendo…

When I first saw the WiiU at last year’s E3, I was a little confused about the choice of releasing Nintendo Land over something more successful like the original Wii’s Wii Sports. I honestly believed that a “Wii Sports HD” was in the works for Nintendo’s next machine. But of course, Nintendo needed a game to show off what the GamePad can do, and as it’s not really a motion controller; well it is, but not in one hand, a sports game wasn’t going to cut it. Thing is, Nintendo has really struggled with this new WiiU console, when the predecessor, the Wii, did so much more! It was a mixture of good marketing and games that you can practically sell to anyone. Not to mention that the game that came with the Wii, Wii Sports, was a huge hit. It was so much of a hit that most people just bought the Wii just for Wii Sports. It was so successful that Nintendo later on sold the Wii console with the sequel to Wii Sports; Wii Sports Resort, which again was a successful business move by Nintendo.

As you can see above, almost a year of the WiiU’s release, Nintendo FINALLY releases a high definition version of the game that made the original Wii successful! Unlike the previous game. Wii Sports Club is going to be a downloadable game, so no need for discs for this game. It’ll feature Mii-Verse support, and has online matches and a ranking system. The games themselves are practically the same as the Wii game, except you’ll need Wii Motion plus, of Wii Remote plus remotes to play the game. In other words better motion control like in Wii Sports Resort. It’s been announced that it’ll have an international release on the eShop channel on the 7th of November. However it’ll only have Tennis and bowling, and shown in one of the videos above it looks as if you pay for the games separately, which sucks in my opinion. Later on, Golf, Boxing and Baseball will be released, though something has been said about the games in Wii Sports Resort, I would love to play fencing in HD! LOL, that would end up being the only game I get in Wii Sport Club, when I get a WiiU that is…

Now this is great for those who enjoy their casual games, and there’s a lot of them out there. But I’m still waiting for some actual games for the WiiU! But… Nintendo has been showing off some awesome videos of the upcoming Mario Kart 8 for WiiU, and they look awesome indeed! But will it make me WANT the system though…
